Atlanta, GA – Wamar International’s Board of Directors recently announced that Chris O’Donnell has accepted the position of CEO for Wamar Technologies LLC. O’Donnell will also serve as the Wamar International Corporate Vice President for the Defense and Security Division.
With 13 years of Naval Special Warfare service including a tour in the Pentagon, Chris has an in-depth knowledge of defense budgets and programatics. After exiting service in 2004, Chris worked in roles of increasing authority in defense companies serving the Soldier Systems, Training and Mobility Systems markets. In 2010 he left his position leading The O’Gara Group’s Mobile Systems Division to partner and found a start-up defense focused mergers and acquisitions firm.
O’Donnell’s focus in his new role will be to expand Wamar Tech’s highly specialized product offering and customer set to a broader audience within the US Government and foreign markets. Emphasis will be placed on taking advantage of Wamar’s manufacturing expertise, world wide facilities, and significant engineering resources to grow into tangential market spaces.
According to O’Donnell, “One of our first efforts will be to open an Advanced Technology Center to focus on the Homeland Security market somewhere in the Southwest United States.”
